We saw this wonderful sunset in Amsterdam , on the canal in the evening , just before the sun goes down , it was fantastic ! :heart: :sun:

Beautiful, though I live in Alkmaar now ( yes where the cheesemarket is) it is still my favourite city where I was born and went to school. The tower on the picture , the westertower was opposite my school and we would sit and stare out of the window at its clock, hoping we could soon go home...;)

I am glad. Many people in this town look down upon it "it is just for the tourists". Or claim they have never gone there...I think it is fun, of course it is a show for the tourist but it is nice that it is something you can actually see to know how it used to be in the old days. Nowadays everyting is digital, also buying and selling of food...isn't it much nicer to actually feel, see, touch ,taste..;)
